About the Lyceum
Kharkiv State Music Lyceum is a specialized music institution aimed at training professional musicians.
The structure of education at the lyceum combines two components – general education and music education -ensuring that students receive specialized artistic training alongside a full general secondary education at levels
I -III.
Music Departments of the Lyceum
The musical component consists of seven departments: the Piano Department, the String Department, the Wind and Percussion Department, the Choral Conducting Department, the General and Specialized Piano Department, the Chamber Ensemble and Accompaniment Department, and the Theory Department.
Creative Achievements
Our students and graduates are winners of prestigious international competitions. The lyceum has also initiated projects such as Music Is Our Common Home, Glowing Harp, and the Volodymyr Krainev Young Pianists Competition.

International Cooperation
Peace Music Freedom
The lyceum actively cooperates with European partners. In 2024 and 2025, the festival PEACE MUSIC FREEDOM – workshop was held in the Republic of Lithuania, combining masterclasses, concerts, excursions, and leisure activities.
Sunny Rays
We are also developing cooperation with the French Republic for experience exchange, joint artistic events, and cultural dialogue. The first French project was successfully implemented with the active participation of the lyceum’s vocal ensemble “Sunny Rays,” featuring four concerts, three masterclasses, and excursions in various cities across France.
